Detection Method and Diagram
- Collect the secretion samples from the vaginal wall (middle section) of a patient with a cotton swab (as many as possible). Take out a test tube and unscrew its cap.
- Dip the sampling cotton swab into the test tube solution, and stir and shake it properly.
- Put the test tube with the cotton swab in a thermostat at 37℃ for 10 min.
- Take out the chromogenic reagent bottle and unscrew its cap. Then, add one or two dropschromogenicreagent to the test tube containing a cotton swab, and shake it properly.
- Observe the color immediately within 3 min after the chromogenic reagent is added.
Result Interpretation (diagram):
a) Positive result: A blue or green color in the test tube or on the cotton swab indicates a positive result.
B) Negative results: A yellow color in the test tube indicates a negative result.
Storage and Stability
The BV RAPID BLUE™ detection kit shall be stored at 4℃-26℃ and used before the expiration date.
